Do You Need a DOT Physical?
If you operate a commercial vehicle that weighs greater than 10,000 pounds (gross), and you use the vehicle for interstate commerce, then you are required to undergo a physical exam and receive a DOT medical certification card.
You can only acquire this card from a DOT physician that is on the approved medical examiner list. Bomberg Chiropractic is an approved DOT provider.
DOT Physical Exam & Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification
According to the FMCSA, a licensed medical examiner must provide you with a full physical examination that is valid for up to 24 months. If we feel the need to monitor a current medical condition you may have, we may also issue a certificate for less than 24 months.
Otherwise, if we feel you are physically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV), we will provide you with a copy of the examination results. The certificate allows you to drive professionally on the road.
