Plantar Fasciitis causes a stabbing pain to occur in your heels. What causes the pain? A thick band of tissue that connects your heel to your bones in your toes becomes inflamed. You may feel it when you first arise in the morning after getting out of bed. This is because your muscles and tissue are stiff from inactivity during the night. As you move around, the muscles in your feet warm up and you may notice less pain. The problem is that every time you relax, the pain returns. You may be sitting down watching television and notice the pain return when you get up to walk around.
